- @Aakash Singh India: Please stop omitting source content. Reference clearly says that the erstwhile CM of the state Akhilesh Yadav laid the foundation, while PM Narendra modi laid the foundation stone for the project in Azamgarh. Please avoid further removal of content without discussion.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 10:00, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
Exactly. Totally agreeing. Shresthsingh71 (talk) 11:31, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
The user is consistently engaging in edit war, and has also continued to cross the three revert rule (edit warring), despite being warned about the same on talk page. Suggestive of sockpuppetry. Shresthsingh71 (talk) 11:02, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Explanation: Previous Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav (2012-17) had announced the plan for Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ballia Expressway (Samajwadi Purvanchal Expressway) in May 2015, Later his government changed its name to Purvanchal Expressway (Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ballia). Mr Yadav also laid the foundation stone on 22 December 2016, just 2 months before 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, even though only 30-40% of required land was acquired. In May 2017 the next CM Yogi Adityanath (March 2017-Present) cancelled all the construction tenders and ordered for fresh Detailed Project Report (DPR). Subsequently, the route of Purvanchal Expressway was changed from Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ballia to Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ghazipur. Finally, when around 95% of required land was acquired by the UPEIDA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid down the foundation stone of Purvanchal Expressway (Lucknow-Azamgarh-Ghazipur) on 14 July 2018. Fresh tenders for construction were also awarded in July 2018, and construction work started in October 2018. Now, it is scheduled for completion before October 2021. Hope it is clear now. Thanks Aakash Singh
Changing the name and route doesn’t mean we create a new article for it, as you stated in your edit description. Bec as for your kind information, if we were to take your point into consideration, should we create two separate articles for Prayagraj and Allahabad too, since the current CM has changed it’s name too, don’t you agree? Secondly, the edit war that you have been continuously engaged in, I don’t know why, supposedly indicates sockpuppetry and a particular leaning. Also, talking about Controversy section, you’ve been consistently removing sourced info, and that has been about the “current construction” of the expressway, this isn’t going to work. I’ve notified editors, you’ve already violated numerous Wiki guidelines, please refrain from disruptive editing and try to resolve with discussion. Thanks. - This article (Purvanchal Expressway) is of Lucknow-Ghazipur Expressway route whose foundation stone was laid in July 2018 by PM. Mr Akhilesh Yadav laid the foundation stone of the erstwhile Lucknow-Ballia Expressway route, which is mentioned in the status updates section. This is why the foundation stone was laid twice. Thanks Aakash Singh
