Examples of need for Copyedit[edit]

First "sentence" has no verb. "PVP emerged as a force" hardly tallies with percentage of votes received. "raised demand" is not idiomatic English. Even if India has more speakers of English than the UK, the article should explain what a Bhavan is. --SilasW 14:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone soon cut out "Copyedit" and altered some examples I wrote of. But the meaning of "raised demand", let alone of "raised demand construction" can only be guessed at. "Bhavan" now has the gloss "Eastern Building" which is hardly explanatory. If a Bhavan is a building peculiar to "the East" (and that depends on your viewpoint) then its region (India I might guess), its function eg dormitory or social meeting place, and maybe its essential construction should be given. Let clarification reign! Wikipedia is meant to give information not to be a starting point from which you can winkle it out with the pin of perseverance.--SilasW 19:47, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
