[edit]Yes, she really did win a race against a horse named "Dick" and was related to a horse named "The Steamer," poor mare. Froggerlaura ribbit 03:58, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

- Alas, I proposed something similar in 2012 but as the submission occurred during one of the perennial "Let's get rid of DYK for being un-encyclopedic" crusades, I changed it to something less risque. Froggerlaura ribbit 00:28, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
- The mare's name is all the more remarkable because the connotation was so well-established by then. But it's a word that often skirts censorship. I remember John Waters talking years ago about how difficult it was to get "Pecker" approved by the MPAA as a film title, that they wanted to give it an NC-17 rating on that basis alone and they had meeting after meeting to dissuade them. "I'm still trying to figure out how they approved 'Octopussy'," he said. Vesuvius Dogg (talk) 09:11, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
