X-Linked Disease

[edit]

During my studies currently, I have come across multiple sources citing different hereditary patterns. Many say X-Linked Dominant while others say X-Linked Recessive. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this discrepancy. The sources saying X-Linked recessive are online sources such as AMBOSS and a resource for the USMLE Step 1 exam; Pixorize. The source saying it is X-Linked Dominant are my textbooks sourced below.

  1. Mark's Basic Medical Biochemistry [1]
  1. Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews [2]
