First crossing of the Suez Canal[edit]

It is not possible that the first transit on the Suez Canal occured on April 2009, as the tanker's first trip occured on January 2009. Zariquiegui (talk) 22:04, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the information in the STREAM press release is incorrect. There are lot of sources talking about the ceremony on occasion of passing the Suez canal in April; however, no other sources says anything passing in January. It is possible that in January Mozah traveled around the Cape Horn. The press release is also incorrect saying that it received the world's first LNG cargo delivered by a Q-Max vessel. The first cargo was delivered to in December 2008 to the United States. So, I propose to keep April as Suez passing date. Beagel (talk) 04:50, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well I can show dozens of articles in Spanish talking about the arrival of Mozah at Bilbao, and how she crossed the Suez Canal. I remember it took eight or nine days for Mozah to leave Qatar and reach the port of Bilbao. It could be checked at Lloyd's MIU website, which tracks all the movements made by a vessel, but unfortunately data on that website is not publicly shown. Other source could be Gas Natural, the Spanish company that brought the gas to Bilbao. Do you have a source for the delivery in the US on December 2008? Well, it seems that the first cargo delivery was to Bilbao and not to the United States. It also logical that in its way to Bilbao, Mozah passed the Suez Canal. I found this news saying that Mozah passed the Suez Canal on 31 December 2008. [1] For some reasons the passing in April 2009 got more media coverage. Beagel (talk) 21:21, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
