Playing QCP files[edit]

I just renamed a .qcp file .wav after emailing it from a Sprint Treo phone as advised in the article, but WMP would not play it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.249.255.181 (talk) 20:08, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just downloaded a .qcp file from my LG VX5300, renamed to .wav and it didn't work either. Is this page b.s.? 209.6.252.192 (talk) 02:46, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree changing to .wav does not work. Rather, either download a PureVoice player from QualComm, or change file format at media-convert.com 98.209.249.99 (talk) 23:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Or use a better media player. VLC media player plays .qcp files pretty well, no conversion required. Skierpage (talk) 22:15, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious[edit]

The start-of-file header 52494646 is the same "RIFF" that begins any Resource Interchange File Format. It cannot identify a QCP file in particular.--Theodore Kloba (talk) 18:15, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
