Question: Vickers or Hotchkiss?

A question for someone more knowledgeable on artillery: why does Gorges (1930), writing about these guns with the WAFF in 1914, call them 2.95 MM Hotchkiss QF mountain guns? Were they a Hotchkiss design built under license by Vickers? The page should answer this obvious question. --Wally Tharg (talk) 10:54, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Contradictory Statements

According to the text, this gun was not used by the British Army. According to the photograph of the example in the US Ordnance Museum, it was, in the Dardanelles (Gallipoli). Incidentally, the appalling grammar of the inscription on the plaque indicates that the curator was donated to the Museum. We can't do anything about the plaque, but can the use of the gun be clarified? Hengistmate (talk) 21:31, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

QF 2.95-incn mountain gun in Russia, 1918.

In Russian Wikipedia I've found a photo of the gun in Russia during the Civil War in winter 1918 near the Kungur town, Perm region. We can see two pieces of the Chehoslovak Legion in action against Reds. The photo is from the Cheh military archives in Prague. By the way there is one piece of the gun in Cheh military museum, wich is under reconstruction now.
