Final version[edit]

The last known version of Qmodem was "QmodemPro for Windows 95" version 2.1, not version 2.21. If one downloads the "version 2.21" referenced in the article at SLBBS Support Files, both the "crack file" and the installer in the archive show version 2.1. Also converted "Qmodem Pro" to "QmodemPro" in other areas of the article. Kevin l (talk) 11:06, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Qodem Merge Proposal[edit]

I propose merging Qodem into Qmodem and providing a redirect link. Reasons to remove Qodem:

  • It has not established Notability since originally flagged two years ago.
  • The only significant author (me) has a close connection to the subject.
  • All other activity for this article has been to flag issues with it.

Reasons this topic belongs on Qmodem:

  • Qmodem has established Notability.
  • The author of Qmodem contacted me shortly after the reference to Qodem was placed on that page, indicating genuine interest in the topic material.
  • A close equivalent is SyncTERM, which at this time is the only other significant free software modern BBS client. Yet it too is not notable enough for its own page, instead being part of Synchronet with a redirect.Kevin l (talk) 11:57, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
