Queen's Wharf, Auckland → Queens Wharf, Auckland —
Rationale: Article name/title currently says Queen's Wharf, Auckland ie there's an aprostrophe making it "Queen's" instead of "Queens". So far all the stuff I've seen seems to call it "Queens Wharf" and not "Queen's Wharf". Including
- Last paragraph in press release by Ports of Auckland (former owner) Press Release.
- Press release by new owner on Queens Wharf Open Day
- Auckland City Council: Search for Queens Wharf. There is one page that has both Queens and Queen's. Latter is in the legend of the picture.
- Search of NZ Herald
One would expect the former and new owners to get the name right. I also see it in other publications (not just NZ Herald). I think people (myself included) would automatically think "Queen's Wharf" and so to have it spelled "Queens Wharf" means an effort was made.

Open Day
[edit]Queens Wharf is having an open (half) day on ANZAC Day Sunday 25 April 2010 1pm - 5pm. I am mentioning it here in case someone wants to go check out the wharf (as it has been in the news) AND take some photos for the WP page Queen's Wharf, Auckland. However there may be too many ppl around (in light of the programme and activities listed for the Open Day) to get a good shot for the WP Page.

- I had a walk around the site a few weeks ago. I presume it's now open to the public (or at least there's not much security). I only had my camera phone, so the pics I got weren't that good. If I have a sunny day off one day, I may have another look and snap some pics of the old sheds.
- I saw why the uneven loading surface of the wharf would present a challenge for developers - especially keeping the old sheds. I didn't mind the idea of keeping them, but now I've seen them close-up I can see why people want them destroyed. Tristanb (talk) 05:38, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
