Fricatives

Is it really the Fs and Vs that cause popping sounds? Or is it the Ps and Bs? Those are plosives, not fricatives. TooManyFingers (talk) 17:19, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, ribbon mics are notoriously sensitive to plosives [1]. Fricatives are never mentioned in this context, so you are likely correct. BTW, that whole article paragraph containing the pencil trick is unsourced, and can be removed. - LuckyLouie (talk) 20:48, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
