Incorrect description

[edit]

This article completely ignores the common meaning of the word "raccoon eyes" which is simply dark circles under the eyes. In fact it wrongly suplants the rare occurrence with the common occurrence. No one thinks of raccoon eyes as an injury to the head but everyone thinks of it as "sleepy eyes." This article is poorly written and biased and should be removed until a real, common understanding of the word is provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.202.59.144 (talkcontribs) 04:15, 24 April 2011

I've added a "see also" section to help address, but I agree that this needs a lot of work. It's clearly notable and there are good sources out there. In a medical context, "racoon eyes" is means just what this article describes. -- Scray (talk) 20:03, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In animals

[edit]

Any idea if there's enough content across wikipedia to add a page "in animals"? I remember reading in a book about this - can't recall where.[1][2] Here we go: [3] Shaded0 (talk) 12:25, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
