There seems to be some oddness on this page. In the middle it seems to become about indoor air humidity which seems significantly out of place given the adjacent content.

"Modern energy-efficient construction that conserves energy by making homes airtight often exacerbates the risk of radon exposure. Less tightly constructed homes with greater air leaks are often just as likely to present elevated risks." This is a contradiction. Which one is it? The vague qualifier "often" is used in both cases. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.176.242 (talk) 20:40, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article is poorly written and hugely redundant. The two main sections have significant repetitions. There is a long, poorly motivated discussion about humidity in the first section. There are many uncited claims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.176.242 (talk) 20:45, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes! I agree with the previous commentator. As it stands, this article is rubbish. It also needs a discussion of problems associated with radon mitigation. My house has a system which involves sealing the sump. My impression is that either the operation of the sump pump, or the operation of the exhaust fan, or possibly both, creates a vacuum which sucks in water from the surrounding soil. pmr (talk) 09:52, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needs to be replaced as it is totally out of balance discussing problems of South Florida and humidity ... no explanation of motive for mitigation i.e., lung cancer. No explanation of links to alpha emissions and ties to threshold physical quantities. Nothing on extent of concerns worldwide and corresponding activity in regions.
