Please respect that Armenians have their own names, they are neither Russians nor is Armenia a Soviet colony any longer. Thank you, Ulf-S. 18:05, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The FIDE website comes up with a Rafael Vaganian, grandmaster (Armenia, rating 2587), who was born in 1968. And the Vaganian that was born in 1951, I could not find on the FIDE website. Who can help me out here? Bob.v.R 12:20, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki-Project Importance Low?[edit]

Seems a bit harsh. A two-times World Championship Candidate and gold-medal winning Olympian. What do you have to do to get recognised around here? Brittle heaven 08:29, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. He finished 5th in the World Chess Championship 1987, so I will raise it as Mid-importance. SyG (talk) 07:30, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
