Probable standards[edit]

The new railways in Libya are or are likely to adopt the following standards:

  • Gauge: 1435
  • Brakes: Westinghouse Air
  • Couplings: Alliance (like US and China) or SA3 (like Russia)
  • Electrification: 25 kV AC
  • Train Length Freight: ?m

Ottoman Line[edit]
