The other band Slaves[edit]

Album article?[edit]

I think it's time to make a separate page for Through Art We Are All Equals now that we have the artwork, release date, track listing... basically everything we need. Beachdude42 20:45, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Through Art We Are All Equals in the US charts[edit]

It seems Through Art We Are All Equals got charted in a US charts but which one I don't know. Can you have a look? It seems the Billboard page want confuse me. First it was peaked at #50, then at #12 and now it is on #4. What the hell is going on? Can someone have a quick look? --Goroth (talk) 10:49, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Slaves now a separate band[edit]

It seems the band and WP:RS now consider Rain City Drive a separate entity from the band then known as Slaves. It seems that while most of the members are the same as the last Slaves iteration, plenty of interviews and articles mention the album under the RCD moniker as their "debut", as well as live performances being their "first".

"With such a strong debut as Rain City Drive, their history and previous years were shed, a new identity coming to light as a modern melodic post-hardcore band."

There's several mentions to the "creation" of the band and it being "born" circa 2020.

In this interview a member says "Slaves is a band that had a lot of lineup changes and a lot of growing pains until it was Colin West, Zach, Felipe, and Johnny, and then Johnny was ousted and then I came in and that was the final iteration of Slaves. And then, from there, we decided to make a new band, which is Rain City Drive."

A similar take can be read in this other interview for DistortedMag. "The switch-up also allows a sense of everyone being a founding member, rather than Matt being the new kid on the block. “When you’re stepping into something that has a history that you’re that you’re not a part of, it’s sort of a strange feeling,” Matt says. “But now, we’re all in it together. You’re not dealing with anybody else’s history, or reputation, or anything else. It’s a fresh start for us.”

And lastly, in this podcast a member says "I always tell people it's a brand new band. Because we split the discography, so anything with Johnny is still Slaves, anything with me is Rain City Drive." around the 23:40 mark.

I looked around and the label only lists their recent albums/singles in their website and so does the band's official website
