Information not verifiable[edit]

None of the bibliographic information provided in this article can be verified. Neither a worldcat nor a wider KVK search turned up any information on author or title IN THE SPELLINGS GIVEN. An internet search only showed circle references to this article. This may be due to false transliteration of the names, or it is a complete fake. Anybody skilled in burmese, please verify. --Zenwort 14:32, 23 April 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zenwort (talkcontribs)

Search for the Anglicized Pali spelling of Sandamala Linkara: It's typically translated as Candamala Lankara or Candamalalankara. Also search for New Chronicle of Rakhaing/Rakhine/Arakan. You'll see plenty. (Sandamala Linkara is based on Burmese pronunciation.)
I'm sure you asked the question in good faith. And I'm sure you didn't mean to come across as a condescending First World snob, questioning the authenticity / existence of a book from a poor country. Most, if not all, of the books/journals published in Myanmar even today still don't have an ISBN or ISSN. That Myanmar is still behind in cataloging its publications, and that the country remains way behind in worldwide publication norms are all fair game to point out. But must we jump to "a complete fake" so early in the game? Isn't it equally probable (much more probable IMO) that neither WorldCat and KVK contains the complete list of books published everywhere? Just because a book doesn't have an ISBN or is cataloged in some catalog doesn't automatically mean it doesn't exist or it's a fake. AGF, please. Hybernator (talk) 17:28, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
