Section "Gaza Strip History"

Why is this section needed? There are entire articles devoted to these topics. Wouldn't a simple reference do? Also, this section is a verbatim copy of the section in Abd Al Aziz Awda. Cheers, pedro gonnet - talk - 12.11.2007 13:39

I agree, and I am planning to remove it since it is not necessary to recapitulate the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in this particular article. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:43, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
