What *is* it?[edit]

No clear, concise definition of Ramism anywhere in the article. Presumes (and requires) prior knowledge of the subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.247.247.0 (talk) 03:06, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

John Rainolds[edit]

Although he was sympathetic toward Ramus for religious reasons, Rainolds was not a representative English Ramist. In fact, he gave lectures on Aristotelian rhetoric and dialectic and viewed those subjects quite differently than did Ramus. -- Chironomia (talk) 07:40, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he's now mentioned in the "Opposition" section, as in two minds. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:52, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I read that. That section is really taking shape. -- Chironomia (talk) 13:32, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tense[edit]

I really didn't read into this too much, but shouldn't the lede begin "Ramism is a collection of theories..."? — pd_THOR | =/\= | 02:33, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No more Ramists post-1650, really. Charles Matthews (talk) 22:52, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
