This album has a G-funk type sound to it. Not in a good way, but as if they were trying to keep up with the times and trends, as new jack swing did die around this point and G-funk was still sort of popular. "Funk Box," "Criminal Minded," "It's Yours (Play On Player)" and "Top Billing" could be seen as some good examples of this transition to G-funk. There's only track that even has a new jack swing-esque sound, and that's "Move The Ground," but it still has some similarities to the West Coast G-funk sound.
