The term 'Ratboy' was coined in British media in the 1990s to describe school-age, lower-class, persistent criminals, particularly burglars who can squeeze through the smallest window in any property and, invariably, leave a faecal deposit as a calling card.

The comic strip in Viz which began parodying such people, expanded to cover behaviour shown by those that are now known as 'chavs'. Thus the term Ratboy is now obselete. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.49.242.130 (talk) 12:18, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
