removal of Prod

[edit]

I have removed the Prod tag, for three reasons. First, Rauisuchus is not the same as Rauisuchia. Rauisuchus is a genus, and Rauisuchia is a group of animals similar to and including Rauisuchus (perhaps a natural group, perhaps not, but at least of historical interest). Second, there is great precedent for having articles for both higher-level groups and the genera that lent their names to the groups. For example, we have Iguanodon and iguanodont, Tyrannosaurus and Tyrannosauridae, and Ceratops and Ceratopsia. Finally, as a genus-level biological entity, Rauisuchus warrants its own article, which can provide detail on the genus that would be out of place in the broader article on Rauisuchia. J. Whoops, I should've noticed that myself. But it's good there is a way to propose an article for deletion that is easy to contest, so a single careless nominator doesn't ruin the article for everyone. Thank you! Kotiwalo (talk) 14:10, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, no harm, no foul. Thanks for checking back! J. Spencer (talk) 23:38, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
