Disambiguate for air travel

[edit]

@Scope creep:, @Wikishovel: Wikishovel‬ reverted my changing the redirect to a disambuguation page with the comment "Reverted to redirect, no mention of term in the air travel article".

I feel that the topic is too faddish to warrant inclusion in Airline travel, yet is novel enough that one (including myself) might look it up to learn more about it. However, the current redirect leads to a completely different and potentially misleading phenomenon. This is why I think making it a disambiguation page makes it clear.

The new phenomenon has been reported in several reputable sources:[1][2][3][4]

@Cmglee: I've not doubt the terms exists for air travel. I heard it said several times, in fact I'm reading a novel at the moment where its mentioned. I don't know what to do. Maybe Wikishovel will know. scope_creepTalk 19:34, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Scope creep. cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 19:36, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If it's too faddish to include in the air travel article, then I'm guessing it's too faddish for a separate article. Either way, WP:Disambiguation is meant to help readers navigate to content, so let's wait until there's some content for them to navigate to. Wikishovel (talk) 19:55, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Wikishovel. It has been widely covered by mainstream media, though. cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 11:14, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Might merit a sentence at Deep vein thrombosis#Travelers, given that doctors are being quoted on the wisdom of foregoing hydration and movement on a long flight, with some sources explicitly mentioning thrombosis. Belbury (talk) 11:37, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
