Text interpreted as being of a promotional nature has been edited. SCW4994 (talk) 14:46, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

improvements needed[edit]

An article about a journal should contain in the text, not just the infobox:

  1. Full name,& dates of start
  2. earlier & other titles, with dates
  3. Standard abbreviations used--make redirects from them.
  4. availability on line
  5. frequency of publication
  6. no. of articles published a year
  7. circulation sourced somewhere--default place to get it is Ulrichs
  8. Name of the editors-in-chief, (but only the eds in chief) with their institutional affiliations -- include earlier ones also
  9. A list of the major indexing services that cover it -- in particular Web of Science and Scopus
  10. latest year's impact factor if available
  11. any actual references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases.

It should not contain

  1. vague promotional statements about how useful it is for people in the relevant profession
  2. adjectives of praise
  3. and, most important, it must contain no text from the web page description of the journal. This is a copyright violation, and needs to be rewritten. Even if they are prepared to donate copyright according to WP:DCM, it is likely to be unsuitably promotional.

If I can give you any help with list, let me know. DGG ( talk ) 04:54, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
