THERE WERE THESE OLD PARODIES OF THIS THATS NOT LISTED. Taco Salad

Why is there a commercial called "Mr. Giant Taco Salad Inventor" in the 2002 Commercials, and another called "Mr. Taco Salad Inventor Guy" in the 2006 Commercials? DMW 20:26, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

List of all sketches

Ok, my removal of the list of all sketches was reverted. Can someone please explain how this is encyclopedic content? JoshuaZ 01:04, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

I reverted it because i felt your removal based on that fact that it was long was not good enough of a reason. If we removed all unsourced information from wikipedia thenthis site would be nearly cut in half. I've been looking for a source to cite but haven't found one yet. Also, if somebody wanted to know about this list of sketches, wikipedia might be a place they'd look. I found it useful, so why remove it? --DMW 02:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Questionable External Link

One of the external links at the bottom of the page leads to a website with many of the Real Men of Genius ads up for download. Considering that (according to this very article) Anheuser-Busch does not approve of these sites, is it appropriate for a Wikipedia entry to then turn around and provide a link directly to one? "Inspiration" for this campaign

I suspect that this whole campaign is ripped off from a mid-1990s Letterman sketch where they made a music video about "Joe, the bad-ass meat-slicing man." The song they wrote featured a male vocalist singing in this exact same type of style, backed by a black choir. I haven't seen the sketch you're speaking of, but I doubt that it's a ripoff or at the very least that its status as such can be proven. There may be some influence from it, of course, and/or the influence on each of them may have one or more sources in common. For example, as to the subject matter, see the Rob Schneider "making copies" SNL sketch, which I think predates both of these; re: the non-vocal part of the music, see, e.g., golf and horse-racing theme music on TV. Unless the similarity is really, *really* close, it would be very hard to substantiate this accusation. did the campaign really start in 1999?

I remember enjoying these commercials on the drive home from High School which would be mid to early 90's like 93, 94. Maybe Dallas is a test market and got to hear these years before the rest of the world.

The List I Put Up

This is the most comprehensive list of the RMoG commercials. Every single spot was personally researched and verified to work. I did not include anything that did not have Stacker and Bickler performing the spot. You can't download them, but you can listen or watch them for free without any annoying sales BS.
I put in a reference link for thefuntimesguide.com which has 110 AB authorized radio spot files. You can tell the beer barons gave the OK because all the audio is crystal clear. Then again, like Budweiser would object to free advertising.
I honestly don't know the complete 160 spots that were mentioned in the interview, but I only fell 4 short (Hell, the compilation only had 60 cuts!). However, if someone is looking for a challenge...

(bear with me I've never tried to do anything on Wikipedia before) There's a "Mr Ultimate Philadelphia Sports Fan" version being aired at the moment that's not currently listed -- Stuart, 11:22, 25 September 2006 (EST)

I didn't include the Ultimate Philadelphia Sports Fan spot because it was a regional spot. So, technically, it is but it isn't. ~~Grimsbah~~
