Clarification

[edit]

Not an expert on seismic wave nomenclature, but in the sentence the designation Ps occurs for both P and S waves: "The phases for which the last "leg" is a P-wave (P, Ps, Smp, etc.) are dominantly recorded on the vertical component of the seismograph, whereas the phases for which the last "leg" is an S-wave (Ps, Pp, Sms, etc.) are dominantly recorded on the horizontal component." I couldn't find the example waves in the given source. Is this possibly a typo? LukeTriton (talk) 12:57, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
