Incorrect Definition

[edit]

This is definately not the correct definition of tenesmus (or atleast it is an incomplete definition). Tenesmus is the feeling to pass faeces, even after emptying their bowels, or somthing to that effect. I have not edited it since I am only medical student - may be a qualified gastrointestinal physician or surgical house officer could give a more accurate definition? 14:47, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect etymology

[edit]

I don't know exactly how to write this in the main article, but according to Merriam-Webster, "tenesmus" definitely does not come from "you have a mouse". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.124.140.180 (talk) 23:47, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Change!!!!!!!!!!! Now!!!!!!!!!!

[edit]

tenesmus is clearly nothing to do with mice, it is from to stretch or strain - change it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.43.192.79 (talk) 11:54, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
