The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the pages to the proposed titles at this time, per the discussion below. Despite the naming convention, it was pointed out that the criteria of consistency and recognizability may suggest different patterns here, leading to a lack of general agreement in these particular cases. – These articles are in essence list articles, per WP:NCTV#List articles, these articles start with "List of [...]". Another issue is that these article titles are not WP:CONSISTENT with their parent article. Recurring Saturday Night Live characters and sketches introduced 2018–2019 is a sub-topic of Saturday Night Live (season 44) as it even says in its lead The following is a list of recurring Saturday Night Live characters and sketches introduced during the forty-fourth season of SNL, which began on September 29, 2018. The current title scheme makes it seem like it covers a different time period than the season.

It might be a better option to significantly cut and merge these lists by decade, or maybe even one list depending on size. Most of the information is not proper in the first place. I'm not commenting on if it should be merged or not as I have no idea, but regarding the list, a list isn't just a bulled list, see List of Arrow characters and List of Smallville characters as examples of lists of characters with sections. Oppose. To my knowledge, nobody ever talks about "Season ##" for SNL in reliable sources. When discussing past SNL seasons, years are used (Chevy Chase was on SNL from 19XX-19YY...). This new style is quite reader-unfriendly; I'd only be in favor if there was much worse ambiguity problems (e.g. the only reason the Academy Awards uses "68th Academy Awards" and the like is beacuse it's not clear if the 1996 Oscars are the events ceremony that took place in 1996 for movies in 1995, or the awards for movies in 1996 that took place in 1997.) - Seriously? How are the above 2 comments even valid comments? All the SNL season articles are using "season", see Saturday Night Live (season 44). Using that same article, the first 2 sources are "WHEN DOES 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE' SEASON 44 PREMIERE? 'SNL' RETURNS THIS FALL" and Adam Driver to Host ‘SNL’ Season 44 Opener, Kanye West to Perform.   - I would say that the SNL season articles should be moved as well. Re sources: sure, you found a few that use the numbers, but it's easy to find many that only use years. Off a casual Google search: [1], [2], etc. I think "45th season" is common when talking about the current season, sure, since it's assumed it's talking about what's on in the future. But for retrospectives / historical analysis, it's unusual to say "22nd season" to people in 2019 unadorned and expect them to immediately know what is being talked about.
