GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
The article contains several stubby one- and two-sentence paragraphs that should be combined. In addition, there are several awkward sentences and phrases such as "It was the system's first in-fill station (a new station between existing stations).", "There it enters a tunnel and curves west to Rockville Pike at White Flint.", "The line runs in this manner northwest across the District-Maryland line,", and The station list would also appear better in table format.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Large sections of the history are unreferenced as is the chronology table and station list. The sentence "There is a maintenance yard between the Florida Avenue and Rhode Island Avenue stops." also needs a citation.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
A section detailing the services along the line should be added to the articles. In addition, the lead does not adequately summarize the contents of the article.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
The article does have an image, so it passes this criteria. However, there are more images on Commons that could be added to this article.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

The article currently has several issues before it can be promoted to GA. Therefore, I will have to fail it. The article may be renominated once these issues are fixed. Dough4872 04:29, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
