why is there no link to the german articel? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.200.46.188 (talk) 20:23, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is the German article Reinhold (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinhold)? There's an English version of that article here Reinhold.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 09:41, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Female variant

[edit]

Regina is the female form of Rex, not the female form of Reginald. This part of the entry should be deleted.--ukexpat 14:16, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comics

[edit]

Rich Rich's cousin is usually referred to in the comics merely as "Reggie" rather than "Reginald"; his surname is Van Dough. Note that Archie Andrew's nemesis is also named Reggie - Reggie van Pelt, who ironically shares the surname of Linus & Lucy from Peanuts. And despite the title, the main character in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin is referred to in-story as Reggie. Asat (talk) 08:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Connotation

[edit]

My impression is the name carries a strong connotation with an exaggerated image of a stiff British gentleman of the early 20c. If this is correct, I think this is the sort of information that should definitely be found here in Wiki, so if someone could please verify and add. Ariosto (talk) 11:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha. I've always wondered of that myself, but I had thought it was just me. I'm not sure why this name gives that impression though.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 09:11, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
