Without a reliable source, there is nothing to discuss here. Even with a reliable source, this fact would not a be a significant fact in the gun's history. If you disagree, you will need a reliable published source which is primarily about this model which discussed Cobain's use of it. By way of comparison, we could positively overwhelm the project with individual uses of various models of guns, cameras, audio recording devices, pens, typewriters, computers, cars, aircraft, boats, articles of clothing, furniture, lighting, scientific equipment, etc. in hundreds of thousands of notable murders/assaults, suicide attempts, executions, military actions, news photography, films, TV shows, radio addresses, speeches/debates, plays, concerts/tours, historic documents, accidents, stunts, scientific discoveries, etc.
The model of gun Cobain used does not tell us anything meaningful about that gun. Had he used a different model, the coverage of the event would not have been altered. The brand of duct tape used in the Apollo 13 "mailbox" fix, the model of tape recorder used for the Watergate tapes, the brand of computer used by Edward Snowden are similarly trivial in article's about those brands.
By way of comparison, the specific car involved in James Dean's death is discussed in [James_Dean#Accident_and_aftermath|the article about Dean]] and the article on that model of car because the choice of car was seen as a significant aspect of the crash and the car is closely identified with Dean and the crash. People seeing a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder may think of it as "James Dean's car". The same can not be said for "Kurt Cobain's gun". - SummerPhDv2.0 02:28, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced information[edit]

"Failure to remove the barrel seal activator before firing 2 3/4" magnum, 3", and 3 1/2" loads may bring pressure to dangerous levels which could damage the gun."

I plan to delete this if no source is added. Cleopatran Apocalypse (talk) 19:23, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Features[edit]

I'd like to point out (not indicated in the article) that the standard shotgun has a removable smooth-bore barrel and has the option of interchangable choke tubes at the barrel ends (Improved, Modified, Full, Turkey, rifled, etc.) In addition, there are aftermarket rifled barrels that will fit this gun for shooting slugs or sabots, some with cantilever scope mounts. There are also aftermarket synthetic stocks available - the standard stock was wood. I'm sure much can be found at Remington and other firearms accessory catalogs. 2600:6C48:7006:200:B056:6066:1296:EF0B (talk) 00:08, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
