grading

[edit]

Is there a natural reason to expect that the vector space upon which the Lie superalgebra is acting should be Z_2-graded, besides the standard habit of Z_2-grading everything in sight? 129.107.227.149 (talk) 21:26, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The link for 'pure element' points to a page on pure elements in chemistry. Presumably, 'pure element' in the context of Lie superalgebras means that it only has an even or odd component, not both?
