Remove French names from the article.

[edit]

French has no official status in Algeria and this is obviously an English-language article. Remove the French translations from the article.

If anything, Amazigh names should be provided as that is an actual official language of Algeria. Kurdish Elf (talk) 00:51, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See your Talk page for non-content issue. Mathglot (talk) 01:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
LOL. So you're going to ignore the content and copy/paste wikipedia rules as you've been doing even when I follow them. I see no objection from anyone here, so I will apply the edits I proposed.
This is the problem here, people ignore my edit requests but then they get triggered when I dare apply my edits after being ignored. Kurdish Elf (talk) 01:55, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A cursory glance at the history shows you have continually reinserted your desired content in the face of opposition from three editors at this article. The problem with doing that has been explained to you on your Talk page. The objections to your edit are implicit in the reverts and supported by edit summaries. In theory, you are welcome to use this page to try to gain consensus here for your edits, per WP:TALK.
However, your edits here seem to be a repeat of the same sort of edits you have been making to remove French from the Algeria article (and at several others) wherever possible. I can see that you have started Talk page discussions, essentially all the same, at these four articles:
and while using talk for content disputes is the right way to go (so thanks for that initiative), I'm not sure I see the point of having four discussions with varying rosters of editors who happen by to respond to essentially the same issues at four different Talk pages, as I believe that will just fragment the discussion and probably confuse things more than it will help. In addition, this same issue has already taken place at length in multiple, lengthy discussion sections at Talk:Algeria with numerous other editors taking part, and you failed to gain consensus there for your edits, so I don't see the point of starting over again here. Indeed, it might be seen as WP:Forum shopping. I don't see anything different enough at this article to merit a separate discussion here, but if you do, please explain what it is. Otherwise, imho, the discussion should be continued at Talk:Algeria where it all started, the other four discussions should be hatted and {{Moved discussion}} templates should be added pointing to the one at Talk:Algeria. I've just noticed that he initiated the same discussion across 4 talk pages. While I initially responded on the air force page, my argument is relevant to all four discussions he started. Ckfasdf (talk) 14:49, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unless there is something essentially unique or different pertaining to this article from any of the others, and I haven't seen anything like that, imho this discussion should continue at Talk:Algeria where it began. Mathglot (talk) 17:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Stop. Spamming. Me.
Go do something productive with your time. I'm actually trying to improve articles while all you're doing is spamming people's talk pages for not agreeing with you. Kurdish Elf (talk) 19:21, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
