definition?[edit]

NPD wasn't just a neutron source, but a midget power station designed as a prototype of a CANDU reactor. Perhaps some other reactors listed here are also prototype power reactors? --Wtshymanski (talk) 02:56, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The SLOWPOKE were considered for powering military subs... so some of them can be adapted to become power reactors. 65.95.13.139 (talk) 14:25, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Research reactor. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. State of NRU[edit]

Since March 2018 NRU is in safe shutdown until it's decommissioning sometime in 2028[1]. Since there is no intention of restarting the reactor, should it be moved to the decommissioned section despite not officially being decommissioned? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NX\UR (talkcontribs) 18:22, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Missing links[edit]

I seem to have run into a disconnect concerning "experimental research reactors", "research reactors", and nuclear reactors. This began with running across the articles Chicago Pile-1, Chicago Pile-2, Chicago Pile-3, Experimental Breeder Reactor I (Chicago Pile-4), and Chicago Pile-5.
