Cultural influence[edit]
Yeats' motto has been cited in at least two notable works: as a title, in Delmore Schwartz's short story "In Dreams Begin Responsibilities" and evidently as a slight misquote ("In dreams begin the responsibility", in my copy, but it should be checked in other editions) in Haruki Murakami's novel "Kafka on the Shore".
