  • ... that when The Wall Street Journal started using the smaller Retina font in the stock listings of their newspaper, they were able to use eight fewer pages per issue, saving them $6–7 million annually? Source: https://nymag.com/news/features/jonathan-hoefler-tobias-frere-jones-2014-6/ Quote: "Retina allowed the paper to print the same amount of information on eight fewer pages every issue, saving about $6 million to $7 million a year in printing costs."

  • Article meets DYK requirements, no close paraphrasing was found, and a QPQ has been provided. The hook fact is cited inline and verified inline. I prefer ALT1 as it's more direct to the point and has less unnecessary detail. My concern is that the article doesn't seem to be clear if the WSJ used the font for its entire newspaper, or if it was used just for the stock information (as suggested in the source). ALT1 could be revised further. The wording is a bit vague and (wrongly) suggests that the WSJ changed its font to use Retina entirely, rather than just the stock information. I'm not exactly sure how to reword the hook further, but ALT1 as-is is not fully accurate. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 10:25, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Narutolovehinata5: I've reworded it to make it more accurate, let me know what you think. - Aoidh (talk) 10:31, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
