British-American?[edit]

Rusted AutoParts, both the production companies listed in the infobox – BBC Films and Neal Street Productions – are British, so how is the film American? Unless there is a third company which is American but not listed. --Kailash29792 (talk) 06:53, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Evamere Entertainment (which is present on the poster by the way but oddly not listed) is an American company based in NYC. Also, though uncredited, there is also the American Scott Rudin Productions. Rusted AutoParts 07:07, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take this one. I was initially looking at improving this article but someone has done so already. Rusted AutoParts 20:54, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lead/Infobox[edit]

  • "The film adaptation began as early as 1961" feels a little awkward as a sentence. Perhaps "Development of a film adaptation of the book first began in 1961" or something under those lines.
  • Darien, Connecticut should have the piping removed here so it's just Darien, Connecticut.
    • checkY fixed as suggested

Plot[edit]

  • Plot meets WP:FILMPLOT, all good there.
  • "Frank later secures a sales position with Knox Machines, for which his father worked for 20 years, and he and April marry". Is it prudent to include that his father worked there? I don't think his father ever appears in the film nor plays a vital part of the story.
  • Should probably try to reduce the amount of sentences in this section. For example, I feel sentences 4 and 5 could be merged.
    • checkY removed father bit, merged a few paragraphs

Cast[edit]

  • The listed names isn't that extensive a cast list, not sure the divided columns are necessary.
    • checkY removed third column

Production[edit]

  • I'm thinking Development and Casting can be just one section. The DiCaprio/Winslet images would feel more in place there than the filming section, and with Casting being too small a section to include an image without bleeding into Filming, the two becoming one feels ideal.
  • With the images moved to the above section, perhaps Filming could include an image of Deakins with a blurb about the cinematography of the film.
    • checkY merged as suggested, image of Deakins added

Release[edit]

Reception[edit]

  • The top ten lists should have individual sources.
    • checkY fixed as suggested
