gear[edit]

There should also be a summation of what gear he uses and has used. He has great tone.

I know he used Charvel basses during the cowboys form hell tour (if anyone knows the model please say on here) and ampeg 8x10 now he uses spector ns basses rocktron voodu rackmount and svt pro heads. Also he has been seen using musicman basses but im not too sure what model and fender telecaster bass as well but that was during vulgar times. Also morley wah pedels. His tone in Reinventing the steel is a propa meaty and powerful sound.

Year of Birth[edit]

There is a little edit war going on right now over whether Rex was born in 1964 or 1966. Does anyone know for sure, and is there a reliable source? --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 17:25, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update: A fairly reliable source, IMDB, says 1964 and I have added the citation accordingly. I advise an end to the silly edit war because we're unlikely to find a better source unless someone asks Rex himself. Also, it appears that some believe the proper year is 1966 because of an onstage comment one night by Phil Anselmo, but this will have to be backed up if true. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 23:58, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB is editable by the public just like Wikipedia. Unlike Wikipedia, an editor does not need references to back up the information. IMDB is unreliable. Rex graduated the school in 1982 with Vinnie and Terry Glaze (who are both were born in 1964), Darrell was born in 1966 and graduated the school in 1984. So Phil could make a mistake, all people doing mistakes. If Rex graduated the school in 1982, he was born in 1964. 94.179.168.144 (talk) 08:19, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it should mention somewhere about how he has pancreatitus. Seams important being it could kill him. Phil mentioned it in some university.
