Settlement?[edit]

I believe that Rhodes was a settlement, see Carlson who says that Rhodes is a locale that "took its name for the Rhodes Salt Marsh, just east of the former settlement". Also, the Rhodes had a Post Office, which I added to the article. I'll take a look for more definitive, non-trivial coverage in WP:RS sources. Cxbrx (talk) 00:09, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not seeing much evidence of anything beyond a Post Office and a railroad station at Rhodes. However, there is quite a bit about Rhodes Salt Marsh that is notable, such as that camels were used and that Francis Marion Smith got started at Rhodes. So, I'm thinking that this article could be renamed to Rhodes Salt Marsh. I'll work on the article a bit and see what I can come up with. Cxbrx (talk) 03:56, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
