This translation was prompted by an AfD debate about another person of similar name, at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Richardus_Anglicus#Richardus_Anglicus. There was a feeling that this Ricardus was probably more notable than the alchemist, so it seemed unfair not to have the translation here. I would have preferred inline citations, but since I am translating, and don't have the sources available, I could not do that. I hope that others will expand in time. It is what I put on the dab page, although I don't know if that influenced Elemimele. I chose it because Richard of Wendover was a physician, but the ascription of medical writings to him is a matter of controversy, whereas this guy is the author of the Micrologus. To quote the ODNB: That Richard of Wendover was a physician is attested by cathedral documents. Whether this Richard the physician is identifiable with any of the other of his contemporaries called Richard to whom writings on medicine have been attributed ... is a source of scholarly dispute that may admit of no firm solution. Technically, there were other medical writers known as Ricardus Anglicus, but I don't think we need to worry about them yet... Srnec (talk) 23:32, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
