The image

[edit]

is equally ridiculous and misleading. There is no recorded historic likeness of Cameron's in existence. If there were, the ODNB would most certainly list it, but it doesn't. Maybe he did indeed look like the Prince Charming depicted here, most probably he didn't, remember Cromwell: warts and all. We simply don't know what he looked like. To imply otherwise is plain disinformation. --Janneman (talk) 21:51, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The images you are objecting to are taken from histories dealing with the page subject. The current captions make that clear, and also explain the naive and biased character of the images. I shall continue to revert your vandalistic edits, unless, that is, you persuade the Wikipedia community to remove all images of historical subjects that are known not to be true likenesses. I don't see similar images on other pages with the same caption wording you have attempted to add to the images of Cameron. I just do not understand your mentality in insisting on such wording after I have compromised by making it clear in my amended captions that they are not contemporary images. Frankly, I think your attitude is quite disgraceful and am surprised you haven't previously been banned from editing. Kim Traynor | Talk 19:23, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
