The middle name of Richard Maurice was found to be spelt three different ways in various reference publications; Thelwell, Thelwall, and Thilwell. The name of Vokes Hill referred to in the main article, and named by Maurice in 1901, appears as Voke in old newspaper sources, and as Voakes in the journal of W. Murray, the surveyor.
