JL Bell[edit]

I have used included this source in the article.[1] I recognize that it is hosted on blogspot, and thus considered suspect. However I believe the author, JL Bell, has sufficiently established himself as an expert and published author. I trust it won't be an issue. --Slugger O'Toole (talk) 21:03, 24 September 2023 (UTC) Slugger O'Toole (talk) 21:03, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

I put a notability tag on this article, and it was removed without explanation. Please tell us why this person is notable as opposed to the 9,500 other tavern owners in the US at the time. GenQuest "scribble" 19:46, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added a few more sources before I removed the tag and thought that was the obvious reason. I have added yet more sources, expanded the article, and made clear that he was a patriot and political leader during the Revolution in addition to keeping a tavern. I trust now it is clear that he passes GNG. -- Slugger O'Toole (talk) 02:17, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
