Article name should be changed[edit]

Richar is not known in primary or secondary sources as a Duke. He is known to have had a county in "Luigas" the pagus of Liège. Possible name?

Eduard Hlawitschka indexes him as Richar, Count in "Lüttichgau" (Richar/Richerus, Gf. i. Lüttichgau) [1]. I don't think we can use "Lüttich" (or Liège) because of the lack of consensus that this is what his gau is named (as per the Counts of Liège article). Scholars when they use this term all use scare quotes, but we can't do that in a WP article title. But we could call him Richer, Count in Liugas. Or perhaps (if we use Vanderkindere's favourite form) Richer, Count in Luihgau.--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 08:18, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
