awkward question, but is Van Droogbroeck already the consensus?[edit]

I suppose the title is self-explanatory.

  • There is no doubt as far as I can see that Vanderkindere's position that Herman her husband is the "Reginar" is widely accepted.
  • In terms of theories about who Richilde's family were, we have little tertiary literature yet about Van Droogenbroeck, but his explanation also has not yet been pulled apart? So it seems a good candidate we must list.
  • But has it replaced all other ideas, such as the one Pirenne put in the Dictionary of National Biography? And the other is that of Vanderkindere himself. Any more?
