based on trinity from the matrix?[edit]

can we get a source on this? for one, Trinity from the Matrix is generic as hell. -- Ned Scott 03:16, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to remove it as POV/OR, but it turns out to be true. Shiroi Hane 17:06, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What I'd like a source for is the Asuka comparison, since after I removed the comment as unverifyable/POV it was reinstated without comment - it doesn't merely make a comparison either, the comment suggests a direct homage but without source we could just as easily say she was based on orphan Annie. hmm, after reading that it still seems that Trinity was only used as an example of a strong heroine "I had envisioned someone like Trinity". Although, this info is really nice, I think can clarify all this with a clever rewrite. As for the Asuka reference, yeah, that sounds just like speculation to me as well.-- Ned Scott 17:37, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But I think she can be like a mix of Asuka and Rei; Rika is not much of a "valley girl" like Asuka, and is mature, disciplined and mysterious like Rei.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by El Chompiras (talkcontribs) 19:39, 27 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]
I don't know these "some" are, since Google isn't finding them. Since there's still no source for this supposed "homeage" I'm removing the lot. Shiroi Hane 21:06, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone explain to me why the fuck it's necessary to put her Contanese voice actor there? If you're going to do that, might as well add every other language. Japanese is necessary because it's the original, and English is necessary because it's the language the page is written in, thus the expected language of the reader. It's completely pointless to put the goddamned Contanese voice actor. If you're going to do that, just add ALL the languages, why don't you?

Mistake or not?[edit]

On the page of the character Rika/Ruki from the series of Digimon, I found a error but am not sure if it is really one. Right after the first paragraph introduction,it seems that the next one, and maybe the one after it too, should be placed below the contents navigation under the content of "Personality" or something like that seeing that it describes the way Ruki acts and changes through the series.

Beautiful Performance[edit]

Holy smokes! I predict that if Rika ever ran on American Idol (which she can't because she's a Japanese cartoon and she hates singing besides, not to mention the fact that Ms. Fahn is probably over 30), she'd win hands down. That performance was beautiful! You should watch it! 71.111.232.40 22:25, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ruki's father dead?[edit]

You say that her dad is dead in the japanese version while their parents are divorced in the dub. I think there may be some kind of mistake on this info. While it's an US tradition to make that kind of changes on a dub, I think in this case they got it right: her dad is alive, but is no longer living with his family.

Could you tell us the source of the info on Ruki's father dead?

Good point. I seem to recall reading somewhere that she sees her father in movie 6. I'll call the project's attention to this. Circeus 22:54, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, her father is shown in the 6th movie but that's only a memory. The real proof of him being alive is on the show itself. There is an episode where Ruki says something like: "If I wanted to, I could telephone my dad...", meaning that though her father is no longer living with her, she can still reach him trough telephone. Is that from the Japanese version? Gdo01 23:59, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, its from the Mexican dub. But trust me, its more of a very faithful translation than a dub, because I've compared the dialogues on WPP fansubs and they are practicaly the same. The only thing the non-US dubs change is the names, for marketing reasons I guess. Ghost085 18:06, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
i remember that in the English dub, it was when she was thinking about Jeri and her mother's passing (or Leomon's death), this was when everyone was making a plan to attack the D-Reaper core, even though it safe to say her father is a live i never was lead to believe he was dead

Does anyone know[edit]

Why her family name was changed, in the dub, to an equally Japanese name?
