[edit]

Isn't the article name a little "weird".? "Rise" and "to power" are too strong to use for a name of an article in an encyclopedia. --KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 16:42, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you propose? I was not sure myself to be honest. Wiki San Roze †αLҝ 19:51, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
FYI I named the article based on this. Feel free if you got some suggestions. You may also want to raise it in Wiki project Tamil Nadu, which may be of great help. Cheers Wiki San Roze †αLҝ 20:18, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Even I can't come up with an alternative... --KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 07:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I saw this name Rise of Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu in the Dravidian parties template and felt it was apt. --KnowledgeHegemonyPart2 17:02, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On second thoughts, it looks to me that the new title suggests that this is an article on how Dravidian parties came to be in TN rather than how they rose to power to form government. Dravidian parties came into existence since early 1900's itself. Earlier the first (and now defunct) Dravidian party, The Justice party had already been in power in Madras Presidency untill 1937. This article discusses the factors that lead to the rise of Dravidian parties to power again in this region which was Tamil Nadu by then. So this article is rise to power and not just rise. It has to specify that we are talking about its rise in TN and not in erstwhile Madras Presidency. So the current title doesn't make sense within the context.
