Alternative to Carsington Reservoir[edit]

It's a few years now since these matters were everyday discussion, and I can't find much on the web to jog my mind. My recollection was that a reservoir at or above Winkhill was proposed, very much as second best to Carsington. But that the third alternative was at Brund... (Even more intrusive into the National Park). I've recorded it as I remember but if others have better recollection, or think the matter too doubtful to keep, well - this IS wikipedia.
