Tales of knight errantry, gallant tourneys, and mighty feats of arms[edit]
Is this an encyclopedia for readers in 2023, or a fan site for mock-medieval fantasy?
The romantic story of days of yore fails to name the Spaniard whose arms were assumed by Cary or the date of their encounter and the account was written at least 200 years after the claimed event, so the author cannot possibly have known a witness. Unless someone comes up with much better evidence, I propose to delete the whole farrago which just discredits Wikipedia. Belle Fast (talk) 20:45, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
