Continued development[edit]

It looks like this article was originally written during Fano's life; I think it could be expanded with more robust sources that were likely created in memoriam after his death. BKM22 (talk) 04:52, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote this article. Although I know the subject personally, the information comes entirely from published sources, principally a published biography a photocopy of which Bob gave me for this purpose. It was from a volume of computer-science biographies, but I did not take note of the citation details, so this article is completely unsourced until someone can identify the original book. I believe =14 his official CSAIL biography is based on the same source. I believe that the article generally has all of the relevant information for a scientist of Fano's stature who is little-known outside his field. Some restructuring may be useful. If any notable scientists who were his students can be identified, it would improve the article, as would a photograph. (I rarely see Bob at the office any more, so I'm probably not in a position to take one myself.) 121a0012 03:51, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
