M. de Brusasque

[edit]

M. de Brusasque seems to have been the name used in England by Luigi Cotti from Turin, conte di Brusasco. I don't have the complete story, but from https://www.jstor.org/stable/24325536 page 138 it is clear that he married in 1781 Anna Paola Francesca Faussone di Clavesana. His dates are 1761 to 1804. [1] mentions more than one journey he made to England. Image [2] Charles Matthews (talk) 09:07, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

From a letter of Southey[3] it seems likely that the relevant M. de Brusasque is in the next generation, possibly the son of Luigi Cotti. Around 1818 to 1820 there was a Sardinian diplomate who was Count of Brusasco. Charles Matthews (talk) 04:26, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
